Pitch a story
Radiant Food Journal welcomes pitches from writers with a clear idea about food, cooking or the ways people share meals. We are looking for thoughtful, original work that helps a general reader notice something new without talking down to them.
What we welcome
Pitch explainers about ingredients or cooking methods, comparisons that help readers understand their options, pieces on food history and customs, and scene-setting guides to meals or food traditions. We value a distinct angle, precise language and respect for differences between kitchens and communities.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us the working idea, the main point the reader will take away, why it suits Radiant Food Journal and how you would approach it. Include a brief note about relevant experience or perspective, but do not send a full draft unless requested. We cannot promise acceptance or a publication date.
How to send an idea
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please mention if the idea has been offered elsewhere, and disclose any relevant interests or relationships. We do not consider copied, misleading or undisclosed promotional material.
Good food starts with curiosity
A meal is more than a list of ingredients. We look closely at the choices, skills and shared traditions that give food its character.
